PruProtect - It pays to be healthy

Type of evidence required for underwriting

We have designed our underwriting process with speed and efficiency in mind. Where more information is required we will select the most appropriate method from the following.

Tele-underwriting

Our primary method of underwriting is for one of our underwriters to telephone your Client to obtain the information we require. We will call your Client to book an appointment or, if convenient, we can run through our additional questions there and then. In most instances we are able to make our underwriting decision after this call.

Medical Examination

For some medical problems the best course of action is for the Client to be examined by a medical professional. To make this as easy as possible for your Client we offer examinations through a wide choice of locations.

General Practitioner Report

Although we try to complete our underwriting by the methods listed above for a small proportion of cases we will require a report of your Client's medical history from their GP.
